Inspiration
February/10/2009 06:51 PM
This past month was a time
of inspiration, with the inauguration of our 44th
President Barack Obama, and his call to action for all
of us to give back, I truly felt I wanted to be the
best person, wife, mother, friend I could be. Proud to
be an American, I felt in many ways filled with more
purpose. Brad and I talked to our boys, my friends
talked with their famlies. We are all filled with hope,
and have comitted to service in our communities.
Here's what some of my friends are doing:

Jill - just returned from Mexico, where she went with a group from her church, The Church in the Vineyard, to build a well, on behalf of Living Water International. It was her first trip but not her last!
Heather - brought Girls on the Run to Chester County, starting with 15 girls, with the help of the YMCA and volunteers. They now serve over 450 girls per season!
Shannon - Last year Ruth Newman Shapiro Gala Ball - raised money to support cancer research and this year is running the NYC marathon for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
Roberta - aka Mom, is busy working on ShooFlyMoonPie - cultivating cultural connections and bringing communities together through art.
Mary - aka Mom-in-law, volunteers weekly for Cecil County, Maryland public schools, helping children with reading.
Love this shirt - besides reminding me of one of my purposes, it also reminds my boys that I "VOLUNTEER" to do the dishes and pick up after them. I think they are starting to understand!*:) Send me an email and let me know what you're committed to at home and in your community!
